Connecticut Renews' legislation will set us on the path to a future where everyone in Connecticut – Black, brown, and white, Indigenous and immigrant – has a safe place to call home and clean air to breathe and water to drink.
We'll put thousands of Connecticut residents to work building affordable, green homes and installing rooftop solar panels for low-income households, cleaning up pollution, and slashing the carbon emissions that are causing the climate crisis.
Policy Framework
Create thousands of dignified, well-compensated jobs and launch a large-scale, union-led job training program to give workers the skills necessary to join expanding Green New Deal industries.

Build thousands of high-quality, energy-efficient, affordable apartments, and install rooftop solar panels on tens of thousands of low-income households, slashing carbon emissions and dramatically reducing utility bills.

Remove polluting industries – like petroleum refineries and toxic waste storage sites – from frontline and overburdened communities, and fund environmental cleanup projects – such as replacing lead pipes – for local residents.
